Everyman Espresso now open in SoHo!

Big congrats to the fine folks at Everyman Espresso on the opening of their new place at 301 West Broadway in SoHo!!  You can also check them out in the East Village at 136 East 13th Street. I know where I’m headed for my next cup (or two) of Counter Culture.

Maialino had bad coffee? No way!

It’s hard for me to believe that any Danny Meyer restaurant had unhappy customers, but, according to this DNAinfo article, the coffee at Maialino used to be less than stellar.  That said, I’ve been there since they switched to Counter Culture coffee and, well, it should come as no surprise that the coffee is lights out!

Irving Farm Coffee Company

  • 71 Irving Place, between East 18th and 19 Streets (4/5/6/N/Q/R/L 14th street-Union Square stop; L 3rd Avenue stop; 6 23rd street stop)
  • M-F: 7am-10pm; Sat and Sun: 8am-10pm
  • Irving Farm Coffee Company roasts their beans in their upstate New York facility.  I recommend their single origin Colombian roast.  Don’t forget to head north and gaze through the fence at one of New York City’s few private parks, Gramercy Park, where I have never seen a single person beyond the hallowed fence.
